we get this figure by multiplying the average yearly full-time taxable income in germany (49 260€ in april 2022) with the number of people employed in germany (45 287 000 in april 2022) and adjust based on the average number of hours worked compared to full-time employment in germany (85% in 2021).
we get an estimate of 1890 billion euros per year.
the cost of ending world hunger by 2030 is estimated to be 40 billion euros per year, which is just 2.1% of that total.
